Titanik Library – Reading group meeting #6 | Friday 29 May 4-6pm
The next Titanik Library reading group session takes place on Friday 29 May at 4-6pm as a zoom meeting. During the next two reading group sessions, we’re unravelling thoughts and feelings around the corona spring in a framework created by contemporary artists and writers.
On Friday the 29th of May, we’re discussing Paul B. Preciado’s text “Learning from the virus” (Artforum May/June 2020). To receive a link to the zoom session and the text, please email: info@titanik.fi
The discussion is in Finnish or English, depending on the wishes of the participants. The reading group meetings are open and free of charge for everyone.
Welcome!
Titanik Library, launched at the start of 2019, is a project aiming at creating an exhibition-based library at Titanik. Since 2019, we have been acquiring literature for each of our exhibitions in dialogue with the artists involved. The aim is to provide a framework for both artistic practices and the exhibition projects themselves. Titanik Library entails also public reading group sessions and discussions. The library project aims to open up topics in contemporary art in relation to Titanik’s programming, as well as to create a space for reading and learning together.
In 2020 Titanik Library is kindly supported by the Finnish Cultural Foundation’s Varsinais-Suomi Fund.
