PV Thursday 7 November 6-8pm
Welcome!

~~~~~~
mid-summer invitation to get something together
losing keys, moving space, new snuggles
november marraskuu death month sleepiness
been thinking about how hard it is to let go and
wanna find yourself in the sweet warm soft embrace of resting…
should rest
can’t afford to resist (thank you elina m.)
permission to rest?
masochistic post studio exhaustion working loving
loving to sleeeeeeeeeeeep
sleep being cosier in the throes of sleepiness
not having the time to be with it
burn out not burning enough to ice it just yet
exhaustion as absorption, not fatigue
studio fear
studio immersion
living the tortured artist trope 😢
welcome! tervetuloa! zapraszam!
Bogna Wisniewska (b.1988, Poland) is a soft-hearted creature who lives and works in Helsinki, where she maintains an arts practice that fosters cozy safe spaces and good company, bringing people together through painting, exhibition-making, cooking and hosting. Her recent work at 427 Gallery in Riga was the beginning of a longer project thinking about (and reconciling anxieties around) guilty pleasures; owning your needs and cravings; and learning through peculiarities, obsessions and infatuation. Its second iteration is being developed for Titanik.
Wisniewska is a member of artist run gallery SIC in Helsinki, an amazing cook who regularly hosts catering for Kuva (amongst others), and a formidable endurance dancer.
The artist’s work is supported by the Finnish Cultural Foundation and The Paulo Foundation.
