On the shore of Aura River in Turku, Finland, lies the biggest contemporary art gallery of the city, called Titanik. Titanik Gallery was founded in February 1988 by Artist’s Association Arte. Along with exhibitions Titanik runs an international artist residency programme.

Titanik is a well-known platform for upcoming artists and unconventional art. The exhibitions are selected by Arte board members.

Titanik arranges not only exhibitions and residency opportunities but also provides activities such as concerts and performances which are free and open to the public.

Titanik’s exhibitions react to their environment and its events. Titanik provides an alternative for the Turku art scene.

In 2022 Titanik and Arte are supported by: Arts Promotion Centre Finland,  City of Turku, Svenska kulturfonden, Föreningen Konstsamfundet, Kone Foundation, and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
