This year’s FemF Art 2019 moves away from the capital to Titanik art space in Turku. The exhibition How to Slow Rush, curated by the curatorial duo inaway (Nayab Ikram & Ramina Habibollah), features the artists Esete Sutinen, Man Yau and Vidha Saumya.
The artworks in the exhibition represent time embodied in emotional and physical labour through instant and slow processes. These multilayered processes manifest as drawing, embroidery, sculpture, marble polishing and choreography.
The exhibition will be opened on Thursday 3rd of September at 6pm by Elisabeth Wide, Ina Kauranen and Inkeri Rönnberg, some of the co-founders of Feminist Forum.
How to Slow Rush invites Boy konsthall (Oct 4th) and Arvind Ramachandran (Oct 18th) to take part in the exhibition programme with lecture performances.
