Titanik LIBRARY reading group # 10 | Zoom Wednesday 19 May at 5 pm

The text for our next reading group meeting is an excerpt of André Breton’s “Manifesto of Surrealism” (1924). It is connected to the current project Cadavre Exquis, or Exquisite Corpse, taking place at Titanik. Send an email to info@titanik.fi to sign up and receive the text and Zoom link.

The discussion is in Finnish or English, depending on the wishes of the participants. The reading group meetings are open and free of charge for everyone.

TITANIK LIBRARY, launched at the start of 2019, is a project aiming at creating an exhibition-based library at Titanik. Since 2019, we have been acquiring literature for each of our exhibitions in dialogue with the artists involved. The aim is to provide a framework for both artistic practices and the exhibition projects themselves. Titanik Library entails also public reading group sessions and discussions. The library project aims to open up topics in contemporary art in relation to Titanik’s programming, as well as to create a space for reading and learning together.
